2022 NFL Draft Odds for First Quarterback Pick (Malik Willis Leads the Way)

Breaking down the odds for who will be the top quarterback selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.

We’ve still got plenty of time to go until the 2022 NFL Draft, but the top quarterback prospects are starting to take shape.

While Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett has been called into question due to his hand size, he is still right behind Liberty quarterback Malik Willis in the latest odds.

Tankathon has Willis going at No. 9 to the Seattle Seahawks in its latest mock draft, but could another quarterback go before him?

Let’s check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Odds for Who Will Be First Quarterback Drafted in 2022

While we don’t have odds for strictly the first quarterback in the draft, here is how each quarterback fares in WynnBET’s odds to be the No. 1 overall pick. Clearly, the higher quarterbacks are expected to go higher in the draft.

  • Malik Willis: +4000
  • Kenny Pickett: +5000
  • Matt Corral: +7000
  • Sam Howell: +10000
  • Carson Strong: +10000
  • Desmond Ridder: +15000

Which Teams Need a Quarterback in 2022 NFL Draft?

While Willis is the leader in the clubhouse, there aren’t as many quarterbacks expected to go high in the draft as there were last season.

Sam Howell had been projected to be an early first-round pick until he struggled a bit last season, while Desmons Ridder and Carson Strong played at smaller programs in Cincinnati and Nevada.

As the draft nears, the teams at the top of the draft that could use a quarterback include the Carolina Panthers (No. 6), Seattle Seahawks (No. 9), New Orleans Saints (No. 18), Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 20).

While the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions both could be a in the market for a quarterback as well, draft analysts don’t have either team taking a quarterback in the top of the first round. That is likely because Jared Goff (huge contract) and Davis Mills (played solid as a rookie last season) aren’t bad enough for the teams to move on in a weak quarterback class.

Willis has been projected to be the top quarterback taken in this class since the NFL Scouting Combine, so I’d expect him to remain there unless another quarterback has a crazy Pro Day prior to the draft.
