2022 NFL Draft- Quarterbacks Props Betting Analysis (Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett Questions Have Bettors Guessing)

NFL Draft betting guide: how to bet quarterbacks such as Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett and Desmond Ridder in the first round on April 28th.

The 2022 NFL Draft may be more chaotic than any in recent memory.

With very few elite quarterback prospects in this year's NFL Draft, we are guessing how the top of the board will shake out, and how to weigh the premiere position in the sport. With Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett, as well as Desmond Ridder, likely finding spots later in the Draft, how should we bet into their props.

Here are some interesting ways to attack betting on quarterbacks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Steelers Known Affection for Malik Willis

Willis is the favorite at WynnBET to be the first quarterback selected. I wrote about a month ago about how -400 was way too steep of a price to lay on Willis when someone like Pickett may be more stable come draft night.

While I may be wrong in the end, Willis odds have dropped to -200 on Wednesday before draft night.

After being rumored to be in play at No. 2, Willis now may not be in play until No. 8 with the Falcons, and I still think that's a longshot as the team has a stopgap quarterback in Marcus Mariota next season. I believe the Liberty product is going to be waiting a decent amount on Thursday night, but his slide likely stops with the Steelers at No. 20.

Last season, one of the most well known selections was Najee Harris to the Steelers at No. 24. When Pittsburgh finds their guy, they stick to it. Now, the organization is looking for a quarterback for the first time in nearly 2 decades and they have been tied to Willis since the beginning.

He is +125 to be selected by the Steelers on Thursday, and I see that as a more valuable bet than guessing where someone like Pickett, or a dark horse like Ridder can go.

Pickett Market has Cooled

Pickett has been tied to the Panthers since the beginning of the NFL Draft process. Carolina head coach Matt Rhule recruited the Pittsburgh product to Temple, but it seems that the Panthers are more interested in moving out of No. 6 or selected an offensive tackle.

Peter Schrager of NFL Network floated the possibility of the team moving down to select Pickett, but it seems more likely that he is going to be waiting until the back end of the first round for another team to select him.

The Panthers are still seen as the favorite to pick Pickett at WynnBET, +125, but that is a no bet as Carolina doesn't have any other picks in the first 3 rounds to move back into the first round and take the QB. I'd rather take a long shot on the New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans, or Seattle Seahawks to pick him.

Ridder is Dark Horse of Process

Willis at -200 still doesn't feel all that great considering you are waiting until potentially the 20's to resolve that bet, and Ridder can enter the mix as he has surged into the first round of most prominent mocks.

While it still is a long shot at +600, Ridder could be circled by a team like the Saints in the teens, or a team that is interested in trading back or into the first round to pick him. With a lot of buzz around him, and Willis and Pickett sliding from their once lofty positions inside the top 10, Ridder may be the sneaky play to be the first QB off the board come Thursday night.
