Super Bowl 60 Preview- Top Teams Poised to Dominate the 2025 NFL Season

The start of a new National Football League (NFL) season is fast approaching, and with just three months left, predictions on the winner of Super Bowl 60 are running wild.

We will see just how significant come September. In the meantime, teams are hard at work devising tactics that will secure them one of two spots for the upcoming 60th Super Bowl, scheduled for February 8th, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The Philadelphia Eagles, last year’s champions after a 40–22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, are again a strong contender. Other powerhouses like the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bills are also eyeing the trophy, with Kansas eager for revenge after a disappointing end to last season. There are also emerging threats, namely the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders, looking to upset the established pecking order and ruin someone’s day.

Philadelphia Eagles (+600)

The reigning champions are entering the 2025 season with a target on their backs, but also confident in their chances for a repeat. The team that demolished the Chiefs in the last game of the previous season underwent minimal changes. They added rookie cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, as well as Saquon Barkley in the backfield. With +600 odds, the Eagles are clear favorites for the upcoming season’s trophy. If you are planning on placing a bet, this may be the safest one. Of course, do your research, like reading this Cloudbet review, to make sure you get the best odds.

Kansas City Chiefs (+650 to +750)

Last season’s finalists, the Kansas Chiefs, are hot on the Eagles’ trail. Despite the loss, Patrick Mahomes remains the league’s premier quarterback, and with a revamped offensive line and defensive upgrades, Kansas City is poised to exact its revenge for Super Bowl LIX. It is worth noting, though, that the AFC is fiercely competitive and the Chiefs have their work cut out for them in order to break through.

Buffalo Bills (+700)

The Buffalo Bills suffered a series of heartbreaking playoff losses, but their talented roster makes them a clear contender. Led by the MVP quarterback Josh Allen, the team is always fun to watch and a major threat to the league. With a few defensive additions and new offensive weapons at Allen’s disposal, the Bills can go all the way.

Baltimore Ravens (+700)

Last season was a rollercoaster for Ravens fans. The team ended the regular season with a 12–5 record, topping the AFC, only to lose in the second round of the playoffs 25-27 to the Bills. For this season, the team added Derrick Henry, and with  Lamar Jackson in his prime, they are ready for a deep playoff run. It remains to be seen whether this year they have what it takes to go all the way.

Detroit Lions (+900)

After a franchise-best 15-2 record in 2024 and back-to-back NFC North titles, the Detroit Lions are no longer underdogs but legitimate Super Bowl contenders. With a well-rounded roster and ambitious ownership, Dan Campbell’s team seems poised for great things. However, not everything is rosy in Detroit, as the Lions face one of the toughest schedules in the league. Their ticket includes matchups against the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens. If they manage to muster a decent show against three top-ranked teams in the NFL, then the sky is the limit for Detroit.

Washington Commanders (+1800 to +1900)

The start of a new National Football League (NFL) season is fast approaching, and with just three months left, predictions on the winner of Super Bowl 60 are running wild.

The Washington Commanders have rapidly transformed from a rebuilding franchise into a legitimate contender for Super Bowl 60. Carried by an overachieving Jayden Daniels, the Commanders are a serious threat to all teams in their conference.

Conclusion

The upcoming season promises to be one of the most competitive in the NFL’s history. The odds may not show it, but there are plenty of teams that can legitimately hope for a spot in Super Bowl 60. The drama and intensity are already showing, and we are still three months away from the kickoff. Regardless of which two teams actually make it, one thing is certain: the race to Santa Clara will be an exciting one.
