Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Raiders, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Put together, it is a D-.
Michael Penix Jr. gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Getting Allen where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.

In No. 9 they get the face of the franchise. A clean fit for the roster.
They did well to land Troy Franklin in pick 43, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Braelon Allen at Round 4, Pick 11 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Payton Wilson in pick No. 148. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They paid sticker price for DeWayne Carter in the Round 6 slot, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
