The rest of the league will want that one back. Tai Felton tumbling to the Cardinals in No. 117 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Strong has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 17 they get a cornerstone up front, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Jalon Walker in pick 48 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
By-the-book stuff, Aeneas Peebles at the 81st pick squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Tai Felton in the Round 4 slot, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A conviction pick on Dorian Strong at Round 5, Pick 14 that the board grades a round light. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
