This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kenyon Sadiq, the No. 19 name on the board, stolen at Round 5, Pick 32.
Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a problem off the edge, and a steal at that.
They barely believed it either: Arvell Reese still on the board at No. 30. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Sonny Styles at pick No. 127 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Spencer Fano in the 132nd pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They robbed the room for Jordyn Tyson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
The board fumbled Mansoor Delane all the way to the 136th overall pick, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
Taking Cashius Howell in Round 5, Pick 10 is close to grand larceny; an edge rusher that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Kenyon Sadiq in slot 172 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
