Thirty-one other rooms let Josh Cameron slide, and the Bengals were the ones holding the card at the Round 7 slot. Highway robbery. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Every board in the league had Nwokobia lower, and that gap is the story. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.10 · Pick 10 · Kadyn Proctor · OT · rank 14
In the 10th pick they get a blindside protector at fair value. A real need, handled.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Zion Young · DE-EDGE · rank 42
No edge and no loss on Zion Young in pick 41; it is a wash and a sensible one. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
R3.8 · Pick 72 · Dontay Corleone · DT · rank 67
A tidy little value on Dontay Corleone in Round 3, Pick 8, a step better than break-even. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R4.10 · Pick 110 · Harold Perkins Jr. · LB · rank 132
Harold Perkins Jr. at the 110th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.8 · Pick 189 · Reggie Virgil · WR · rank 165
Somehow Reggie Virgil was still sitting there in slot 189, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.18 · Pick 199 · Isaiah Nwokobia · S · rank 226
Isaiah Nwokobia at the Round 6 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A minor itch, scratched.
R7.5 · Pick 221 · Josh Cameron · WR · rank 184
Josh Cameron in No. 221 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R7.10 · Pick 226 · Thaddeus Dixon · CB · rank 214
Thaddeus Dixon at pick No. 226 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
