The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Omarr Norman-Lott fell into pick 207. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Reaching for Trapilo left real value on the table behind him.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 29 they get a problem off the edge, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Tyler Booker at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reach on Ozzy Trapilo in the 79th pick; the board had better options right there. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow Jayden Higgins was still sitting there in the 148th overall pick, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Omarr Norman-Lott in No. 207 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Circle this one: Dorian Strong at slot 238 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
The board fumbled Woody Marks all the way to pick No. 250, and they scooped it up. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
