The Patriots ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

They will need Mahogany to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

However the rest shakes out, Watson at that price is a win they earned. Germaine Pratt gives the group a proven body among the projects.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
