If confidence were a draft strategy, the Texans would have aced it. Thor Griffith at Round 7, Pick 25 is 66 spots clear of where he belonged. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
