The Texans robbed the room for Sanders. Final grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Raheim Sanders tumbling to the Texans in pick 241 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: running back settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Emeka Egbuka · WR · rank 25
In the 25th overall pick they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Tyler Warren · TE · rank 17
The board fumbled Tyler Warren all the way to the Round 2 slot, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R3.25 · Pick 89 · Dylan Fairchild · OG · rank 86
A reasonable price with a little left over, Dylan Fairchild in Round 3, Pick 25. It fills a real need, too.
R4.25 · Pick 126 · Darius Alexander · DT · rank 125
Darius Alexander in the 126th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R5.28 · Pick 165 · Sonny Styles · S · rank 122
Sonny Styles in slot 165 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R7.25 · Pick 241 · Raheim Sanders · RB · rank 146
A running back of that caliber at pick 241 is the definition of value, full stop. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
