This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jalon Walker, the No. 20 name on the board, stolen at pick 89.
The Griffith pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.
Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a disruptive interior force, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Tyler Warren in the 58th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They barely believed it either: Jalon Walker still on the board at slot 89. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at No. 127 is the definition of value, full stop. It fills a real need, too.
They will replay Jackson Slater at Round 5, Pick 28 for years; that is how good the value is. A need, and now a little less of one.
