Houston Texans
The Texans cashed the board's mistake on Skattebo: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Cam Skattebo tumbling to the Texans in No. 165 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The cost of the Noel reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
By-the-book stuff, Kenneth Grant at No. 25 squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Somehow Colston Loveland was still sitting there in Round 2, Pick 26, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nothing to complain about; Dylan Fairchild went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jaylin Noel at pick 126 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Taking Cam Skattebo in the Round 5 slot is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
The board had Jaylen Reed higher than the 241st overall pick, and the safety fell to them anyway. It adds depth where they could use a little.
