This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 164 name on the board, stolen at No. 243. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a wrecking ball inside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
The board fumbled Tyler Booker all the way to the Round 2 slot, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Nice patience on Elijah Arroyo, who had no business lasting to pick No. 89. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jaylin Noel at Round 4, Pick 26 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Taking Lathan Ransom in the 167th pick is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Bhayshul Tuten in No. 243 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
