The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Mason Taylor, pick 127, roughly 45 picks past where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Tyleik Williams reach pick 58 and blink. They did not. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A clean, defensible pick in No. 89 with a little surplus value in Donovan Jackson. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board fumbled Mason Taylor all the way to the Round 4 slot, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jackson Slater in slot 167 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
