You build a draft on nights like this. Bhayshul Tuten had no business being available in slot 243, and the Texans did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Gadsden II reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a wrecking ball inside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Somehow Tyler Booker was still sitting there in the 58th overall pick, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A conviction pick on Savion Williams at No. 89 that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid a round early for Oronde Gadsden II in the Round 4 slot, more than the board wanted. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
