Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Bhayshul Tuten got past him. The Texans do not have to explain a thing at the 241st pick.
They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 25 they get a matchup weapon at tight end, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Donovan Jackson well ahead of where he belonged. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board had Tate Ratledge higher than the 89th overall pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
They took Darius Alexander at par in the Round 4 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
