This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 165 name on the board, stolen at pick 243.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a wrecking ball inside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Tyler Warren in No. 58 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Taking Matthew Golden in pick No. 89 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Dylan Fairchild in the Round 4 slot, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Steal is underselling it; Kevin Winston Jr. at pick 167 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Bhayshul Tuten in the 243rd pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
