The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Bhayshul Tuten, pick 241, roughly 86 picks past where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Tetairoa McMillan in pick 25, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Emeka Egbuka at the 58th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Somehow Colston Loveland was still sitting there in the 89th overall pick, and they pounced on premier tight end value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Luke Kandra at the Round 4 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A need, and now a little less of one.
They barely believed it either: Sonny Styles still on the board at pick No. 165. A minor itch, scratched.
They will replay Bhayshul Tuten at slot 241 for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
