You could see the war room lean forward. Bhayshul Tuten at pick 241 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a matchup weapon at tight end at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Isaiah Bond in slot 58 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They read the board right and Tate Ratledge was the payoff at the Round 3 slot. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No drama and no debate, Darius Alexander went about where he belonged in the 126th overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Sebastian Castro at the 165th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
The board fumbled Bhayshul Tuten all the way to pick No. 241, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
