You could see the war room lean forward. Cam Skattebo at slot 241 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 25 they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tyler Warren at pick 58. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Steal is underselling it; Tyleik Williams at the 89th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They will replay Luke Kandra at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Sonny Styles in the 165th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor need, but a need all the same.
