The rest of the league will want that one back. Bhayshul Tuten tumbling to the Texans in the 241st overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They are betting Booker proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
They robbed the room for Tate Ratledge here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They barely believed it either: Xavier Watts still on the board at pick 89. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
You do not let a linebacker like Barrett Carter reach the 126th pick and blink. They did not. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board fumbled Billy Bowman Jr. all the way to the Round 5 slot, and they scooped it up. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Taking Bhayshul Tuten in No. 241 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
