Houston Texans

The Texans robbed the room for Skattebo. Final grade: B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Cam Skattebo at Round 7, Pick 25 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Kandra reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Tetairoa McMillan · WR · rank 5
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a weapon on the perimeter, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Tyler Warren · TE · rank 43
Tyler Warren in the Round 2 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R3.25 · Pick 89 · Luke Kandra · OG · rank 105
They liked Luke Kandra enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 89. The roster fit checks out.
R4.25 · Pick 126 · Kevin Winston Jr. · S · rank 91
Steal is underselling it; Kevin Winston Jr. at pick No. 126 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R5.28 · Pick 165 · Sonny Styles · S · rank 121
Sonny Styles at slot 165 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
R7.25 · Pick 241 · Cam Skattebo · RB · rank 110
You do not let a running back like Cam Skattebo reach the 241st pick and blink. They did not. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
