The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Rod Moore, pick No. 241, roughly 104 picks past where he belonged. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Broughton pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a true top target. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They will replay Tyler Booker at pick 58 for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
A tight end of that caliber at No. 89 is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
A real head-scratcher, Vernon Broughton in the 126th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Sonny Styles in pick No. 165 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor itch, scratched.
They barely believed it either: Rod Moore still on the board at slot 241. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
