You could see the war room lean forward. Bhayshul Tuten at pick No. 241 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. No fireworks, but a solid B.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.
They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a run-stuffing presence up front, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They let Tyler Warren come to them and pounced at the 58th overall pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid sticker price for Tez Johnson in pick No. 89, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Luke Kandra at slot 126 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
The board fumbled Sonny Styles all the way to Round 5, Pick 28, and they scooped it up. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Taking Bhayshul Tuten in No. 241 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
