The Texans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Tory Horton, the No. 112 name on the board, in pick No. 165. The bottom line is a respectable B.
Griffith has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
A tidy bit of business in the 25th pick, where Tyler Warren graded well above the range. The roster fit checks out.
Tyler Booker at pick No. 58 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Tate Ratledge at slot 89 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It fills a real need, too.
Darius Alexander at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Steal is underselling it; Tory Horton at No. 165 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A wild overpay on Thor Griffith in pick 241, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
