The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Ollie Gordon II, slot 243, roughly 79 picks past where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Ratledge reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a mismatch in the passing game, outstanding value to boot.
They liked Tate Ratledge enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 58. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Isaiah Bond in slot 89 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Darius Alexander in the Round 4 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
The board fumbled Malachi Moore all the way to pick No. 167, and they scooped it up. It adds depth where they could use a little.
You do not let a running back like Ollie Gordon II reach No. 243 and blink. They did not. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
