When the story of this class is written, it opens with Marshawn Kneeland at the Round 3 slot, a reach of 33 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Mayes.

A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
