The one they had to fix is still broken. The Dolphins left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
No drama and no debate, Kool-Aid McKinstry went about where he belonged in the 21st pick. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They took T'Vondre Sweat at par in Round 2, Pick 21, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
By-the-book stuff, Sincere Haynesworth at pick No. 155 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Nathan Thomas in the 186th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Christian Jones in slot 199 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Nice patience on Isaiah Neyor, who had no business lasting to the Round 7 slot. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
