The Chiefs spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Johnny Dixon, the No. 127 name on the board, in Round 6, Pick 35.
The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
The dealing was even money, start to finish.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.

Marvin Harrison Jr. in pick 32 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Jer'Zhan Newton in the 64th pick, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Circle this one: Tyler Guyton at Round 3, Pick 32 is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Khyree Jackson at No. 133 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Steal is underselling it; DeWayne Carter at the 158th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Taking Isaiah Adams in pick No. 172 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Johnny Dixon at slot 210 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
