The board owed the Chiefs one, and it paid up: Calen Bullock, the No. 46 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 133 like a gift left on the doorstep.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

In slot 32 they get a true top target, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Steal is underselling it; Chop Robinson at pick 64 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Devontez Walker at Round 3, Pick 32 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A safety of that caliber at the Round 4 slot is the definition of value, full stop. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Malik Washington at No. 158 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
