The Dolphins torched the value chart for Beaux Limmer, taking him 56 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
On value alone, Taylor-Demerson makes the weekend a net positive. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 31 they get a difference-maker at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No drama and no debate, T'Vondre Sweat went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 21. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at pick No. 67 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They talked themselves into Beaux Limmer at the 88th overall pick, and the board did not agree. The roster fit checks out.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Braelon Allen well ahead of where he belonged. A need, and now a little less of one.
Layden Robinson at No. 155 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
By-the-book stuff, Ethan Driskell at No. 186 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They will replay Dadrion Taylor-Demerson at the 199th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Kurtis Rourke. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
