Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Browns came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Moore left real value on the table behind him.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 6 they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Arvell Reese in pick 24 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Emmanuel Pregnon at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It fills a real need, too.
Nice patience on Daylen Everette, who had no business lasting to No. 92. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Sam Roush at the 107th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A need, and now a little less of one.
Drew Allar at the 146th overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A conviction pick on Louis Moore at slot 149 that the board grades a round light. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A clean, defensible pick in Round 6, Pick 25 with a little surplus value in Aaron Graves. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Good price on Trey Zuhn III in the Round 7 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
