It is the swing that defines the weekend: Justin Rogers in pick No. 157, a good 44 spots before the room expected him.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. That is an edge rusher worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 21 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, even if it was a touch early.
Chris Braswell at pick 55 is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They reached a country mile for Justin Rogers at the Round 5 slot, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Dwight McGlothern at pick No. 186 is the proof. A minor itch, scratched.
They jumped the gun on Nathan Thomas, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A real head-scratcher, De'Corian Clark in Round 7, Pick 19 is miles ahead of his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
