Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Johnny Dixon got past him. The Chiefs do not have to explain a thing at pick 252. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.
Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Dallin Holker in the 172nd pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Johnny Dixon in pick No. 252, plain and simple. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
