You could see the war room lean forward. Ja'Lynn Polk at pick No. 95 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 32 they get a blindside protector, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No drama and no debate, Bralen Trice went about where he belonged in pick No. 64. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Ja'Lynn Polk in pick 95 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Ben Sinnott at Round 4, Pick 32 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A tidy little value on Isaiah Davis in the 159th pick, a step better than break-even. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They robbed the room for Kitan Oladapo here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
