Nobody had De'Corian Clark this high, and it is not close. The Dolphins reached 36 spots to get him at No. 241.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Beebe.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Cooper Beebe is a better player than pick No. 55 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Braelon Allen in slot 88 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They talked themselves into Justin Rogers at Round 5, Pick 22, and the board did not agree. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Joe Milton III at the Round 6 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Trente Jones in pick 198 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
This one needs a full-page explanation: De'Corian Clark in pick No. 241, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
