The Chiefs did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jadarian Price fell into the 109th overall pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The Chiefs clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
