The Cowboys torched the value chart for Jalen Huskey, taking him 33 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Lance.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
Arvell Reese in slot 18 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They let Sonny Styles come to them and pounced at the Round 1 slot. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A slide stopped in No. 92, with Davison Igbinosun worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
The board had Bryce Lance higher than the 112th pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Isaiah World in pick No. 152 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Aamil Wagner in pick 177 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A straight-up fair deal on Domani Jackson at No. 180, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jalen Huskey well ahead of where he belonged. A minor need, but a need all the same.
