The Giants ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Nix.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 19 they get a No. 1 receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A slide stopped in Round 2, Pick 7, with Bo Nix worth more than the price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
By-the-book stuff, Devontez Walker at the Round 2 slot squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A straight-up fair deal on Tyler Guyton at the 47th pick, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They took Kalen King at par in pick 51, which is nothing to complain about. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Javon Bullard at No. 70 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Christian Mahogany in the 92nd overall pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Good price on Donovan Edwards in slot 107, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Shemar Turner in the Round 5 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Michael Barrett in slot 185 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
