Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Vikings, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.
Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. The Suamataia reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
On value alone, Pritchett makes the weekend a net positive.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term answer under center at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Kingsley Suamataia at the 34th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They took Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at par in slot 68, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A conviction pick on Tyler Davis at pick No. 108 that the board grades a round light. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Beaux Limmer in pick 129 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Nehemiah Pritchett at the 157th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Dillon Johnson in No. 167 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
They paid sticker price for Tip Reiman in Round 6, Pick 2, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A reach for Keaton Bills in pick 230; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
No edge and no loss on Tayvion Robinson in No. 232; it is a wash and a sensible one. It fills a real need, too.
