They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Kendall Milton, 207 picks early at the Round 7 slot. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, Turner at that price is a win they earned.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 9th overall pick they get a cornerstone up front at fair value.
Dallas Turner at the Round 2 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Calen Bullock at slot 43 squarely in line with his ranking. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They paid sticker price for Blake Corum in pick No. 73, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Amarius Mims in the 82nd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A slide stopped in Round 4, Pick 9, with Graham Barton worth more than the price. A need, and now a little less of one.
They read the board right and Nehemiah Pritchett was the payoff at the 135th pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A real head-scratcher, Erick All in pick No. 187 is miles ahead of his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Taulia Tagovailoa in the Round 6 slot, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Storm Duck. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Kendall Milton in Round 7, Pick 10 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
