The Commanders spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Every board in the league had Gray lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. With wide receiver, cornerback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
