The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Ja'Quinden Jackson slide 56 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
The Nesbit reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

In pick No. 4 they get a load in the middle. The biggest hole, addressed.
Circle this one: Tyler Warren at Round 2, Pick 6 is a fall that decides a draft. It fills a real need, too.
Demetrius Knight Jr. is a better player than pick 74 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Isaiah Bond at slot 77 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Denzel Burke at the 105th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
