Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Packers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still on the board. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Prather value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Kamari Lassiter in the 25th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tyler Guyton at pick No. 53 is the proof. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A reach on Jonathon Brooks in pick 57; the board had better options right there. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A surprising call. With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still to address, they spent the 84th overall pick on Maason Smith, a DT-EDGE they were not short of.
No drama and no debate, TreVeyon Henderson went about where he belonged in Round 3, Pick 25. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They jumped the gun on Khyree Jackson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Kris Abrams-Draine at slot 120 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
James Williams at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They took Jaylen Wright at par in slot 157, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

Christian Jones slipping to the 219th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Trevor Keegan at No. 246 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The roster fit checks out.
