The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hicks. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
Jayden Daniels in the 6th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Value with a capital V on Adonai Mitchell in slot 47, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They took Max Melton at par in pick No. 70, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Jaden Hicks all the way to the Round 4 slot, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They paid sticker price for Justin Eboigbe in the 141st overall pick, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Layden Robinson slid further than he should have, and pick 183 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
