Nobody else had Marcus Harris anywhere near the 185th pick. The Giants did, by 43 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On value alone, Travis makes the weekend a net positive.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a potential shutdown corner. A clean fit for the roster.
Ladd McConkey at No. 39 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Bralen Trice at the 47th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Patrick Paul in pick 52 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Brenden Rice in slot 70 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Dominick Puni in pick No. 107 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Jordan Travis at the Round 5 slot is money in the bank, a quarterback taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Marcus Harris well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
