After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Giants committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Coleman falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Every board in the league had Jacobs lower, and that gap is the story.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 9 they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Value with a capital V on Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in pick No. 47, a genuine coup. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Keon Coleman in the 70th overall pick, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Cole Bishop at slot 106, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They took Will Shipley at par in Round 4, Pick 9, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Curtis Jacobs at No. 182 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
