There is conviction, and then there is this. The Raiders took Cameron Ball a full 114 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

Fernando Mendoza is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
