Thirty-one other rooms let Jordan James slide, and the Cowboys were the ones holding the card at slot 249. Highway robbery.
The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Biggers to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

They read the board right and Ashton Jeanty was the payoff at Round 1, Pick 12. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jalon Walker in the 44th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Xavier Watts in No. 76 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They robbed the room for Darius Alexander here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They will replay Kyren Lacy at pick No. 170 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Zeek Biggers in the 211th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
Jordan James at No. 249 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
